With Raekwon [Click for interview] firmly reasserting himself with Only Built 4 Cuban Linx PT. II [Click for album review], his partner in rhyme, Ghostface Killah plans on doing the same with his latest album,Ghostdini: The Wizard Of Poetry In Emerald City.

For the length of Ghostface’s career, his signature song has been the “love ballad,” with his own little taste of“Pretty Toney” attached.

On the Wizard Of PoetryGhostface exploits that fact by only having songs featuring true love and break up to make up material with R&B artists like Raheem DeVaughnEstelleShareefaLloydJohn Legend, and Ne-Yoall helping to bring Ghost’s emotional tale to the masses.

The Scram Jones-produced ‘Not Your Average Girl’ (feat. Shareefa) starts the project off, as he describes the type of girl that peaks his interest. From there, he pleads with his girl to give him another chance on ‘Do Over’(feat. Raheeem DeVaughn).

Ghostface then sheds the tender persona, and gets raunchy on the graphic Stapleton Sex,’ where he goes through a sexual escapade in full detail. The soulfulness of ‘Stay’ then comes into play, as Ghost begs the next man’s girl not to leave him, and gives her examples of why she should stick around.

Fabolous [Click for video interview] joins the party, and gets caught up in a love triangle on House Guest’ (prod. by the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League). Ghostface ties up the rest of his “‘hood love songs’ with more pieces of music likeParagraphs Of Love (feat. Estelle), ‘I’ll Be That’ (feat. Adrienne Bailon), and ‘Lonely,’

As aforementioned, these brands of songs have always riddled his past records with great success, and that positive turnout transfers onto The Wizard Of Poetry. When making such songs in the bravado/male testosterone-driven world of Hip-Hop, one’s manhood might come into question.

But in the case of Ghostface Killah, no eyebrows need to be raised, because this is a chamber that he’s become well accustomed to…
