What is this nonsense in the rap game that has the King of the South(T.I.) get a bigger going away to jail party than the King of Rap?!? Lil’ Wayne’s going away to jail concert should be the bigger than the Grammys. It wouldn’t be difficult to make it better than the Grammys but it should be bigger as well. Jay-Z should be there and Jeezy, and Yeezy, and Bun Beezy and Fo’Feezy and Queen Lateezy and of course Drizzle along with Snoop Jizzle (pause to any man named Jizzle) and Dweezle Zappa (because Wayne is a rock star). Birdman should be having a tattoo placed somewhere to commemorate the date that his son became a man.

Before there was a rap song about partying like how the rock stars do it Wayne was stacking styrofoam cups up to the ceiling. His going away to jail party is supposed to be epic. Considering the rates of Black males in the correctional system as opposed to those in the educational system this Lil’ Wayne jail bid may seem like natural progression to most people but Lil’ Wayne is the current king of rap music so he needs to be respected like royalty. Conversely, more Black parents should have going away to jail parties for their children too, if for no other reason but to spur the economy.

T.I. had several going away to jail parties and a concert while all Wayne has received is a press release on MTV.com?!? Where is all the hoopla and fanfare that should be accorded to the music industry’s #1 meal ticket? Why hasn’t BET produced a career retrospective on Lil’ Wayne? They flubbed their chance to get this thing poppin’ back when 2Pac went to the pen so I can’t see why they aren’t taking this golden opportunity to exploit this Lil’ Wayne situation. Speaking of Situations, the cast from the Jersey Shore should host the Lil’ Wayne going away concert. MTV, get your act together meatwads.

It’s lucky for all of these outlets that Wayne’s sentencing was just pushed back like one of his album releases. Hey, did you just study the hipster irony of an incarceration being similar to a release? If you ask me all the stars are aligned for Wayne to be the Elvis Presley of our generation. Wayne could emerge from jail as important to Hip-Hop culture as 2Pac was but in order for that to happen there needs to be a media blitz on the level of the Academy Awards or maybe the Olympics. Universal Music Group needs to reconnect with their sister entertainment company Universal, which owns NBC and broadcasting rights to the 2010 Olympiad. Maybe they can get Wayne to make a song about snow.

Lil’ Wayne needs to be feted in a special manner what with the Saints winning the Super Bowl. Neck beads for everyone, especially Nicky Minaj. Magnolia stand the fux up.

  1. Honestly Wayne is like 50 sold alot but not consistent in no regards TIP is far more consistent and with better quality. Also since TIP- King album dropped he has done over 500 k each time while Wayne was barely going over platinum before C3. And if you take out the first week hype numbers TIP sold better over the long haul due to a better album. Trap Muzik is considered among the best albums of the decade and considered classic none of Wayne's are. And DP do a rundown of all the tracks they rap on together TIP stays merking dude

Wayne aint the best rapper alive. He not even the best inthe South — TIP >>>>>>> Wayne

Come on dp wanye don't even have a classic album stop sipping out the styrofoam cup. T.I. at least got one classic and he claimed king of the south on that album. he has been going plat plus on every album since then. after a while trap muzik went plat as well so T.I. only has one failure of a album. which was his first everything after that been a success. T.I. all his crimes come for trying to get fast money or revenge. wanye crimes come from being on drugs and plain stupidity which is a dangerous combination. to me the going to jail once your album drops thing he trying to do what T.I. did. The only problem people actually cared that T.I. was going to jail unlike wanye. maybe that might have been the reason he started his own wu-tang clan. he going in front the judgeyou can't lock me up for long your honor i got babiesssss
