SamI’ve always liked Tabi Bonney, but recently I’ve become a fan of the dude. He’s been in the music game for almost 9 years now, but I feel like his “movement” (even though I hate that term) is now crystallizing. He was doing it independent (when it wasn’t cool), rocking clothes that fit properly (when it wasn’t cool), and repped DC heavy (when it wasn’t cool).
We sat down to chop it up on a number of things. How hip-hop is becoming less ignorant even though it is a necessary evil, what the Hip-Hop community spends too much time talking about, and what they don’t spend enough time talking about. Tabi also goes into kicking it at the one and only Versace hotel on the Gold Coast of Australia, and his new fashion line Bonney Runway. Finally we discuss how he has always managed to remain original and ahead of the curve. Also be sure to check out Tabi’s latest video which he directed himself. It’s pretty dope.
