iHipHop Exclusive Interview: Truck North Discusses Money Making Jam Boys & Unnecessarily Spending Money On Champagne

A couple weeks back Truck North rolled through iHipHop to let us know what he’s been up to.  He broke down his name which is mainly the result of being a “fat kid” and being from North Philly, as well as the inception of The Roots crew affiliate Money Making Jam Boys made up of Black Thought, Dice Raw, Porn, STS and himself.  Truck stressed the importance of their music sounding organic, and how the first rule of Money Making Jam Boys is that there aren’t rules.  He happened to roll through on the day the news broke of the champagne war, and we discussed how unnecessary spending that much money on champagne is.  I also had to force a discussion about weed into the mix.  Lastly he touched on his exclusive Philadelphia Flyers wood chain, and how the wood look is “in”.

New Music: PRhyme – “Wishin’ II” feat. Black Thought

PRhyme, the duo of DJ Premier and Royce Da 5’9″, found some unexpected success late last year when they dropped their self-titled debut album. Now they're back with and updated version of the project, which features new cuts. Here they link up with The Roots' Black Thought for "Wishin' II," a track that initially featured Common. It's Meek Mill season and his sophomore album, Dreams Worth More Than Money, is out now via Maybach/Atlantic/Dream Chasers. Meek has been heavily promoting the album, making many appearances on various platforms. For one of those appearances, Meek joined Sway Calloway for a Five Fingers of Death freestyle. Needless to say Meek definitely killed it. Also according to Billboard, Meek's DWMTM is projected to sell over 200k during its first week. One of the album's most hyped up track by fans is "R.I.CO." as it's a collaboration between some of the hottest rappers in the game: Meek Mill and Drake.
