RZA sort of swagger jacked Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Fridays with his Wu-Wednesday series that he launched last week with the track “Gone.”  Today, the Abbott followed Kanye’s lead and took to Twitter to unveil a demo from this past summer featuring Rev. William Burk and singer Truth Hurts.  The song is about fake friends who are only there for you when you’re on top, but dip when it’s time to battle.  According to RZA, “the hook states, ‘loving you is like wearing two left shoes.’ I choose it because I am a man who loves unconditionally yet that love sometimes is difficult to handle or live with or simply to wear.”

I thought the song was way better than “Gone” and RZA definitely tightened his flow on this one.  The Wu leader didn’t dig very hard for this sample which is Michel Polnareff’s “Voayages” (made ‘famous’ by Necro’sLight My Fire“).  Looking forward to next week.
