He may have been nominated for GQ’s Best New Menswear Designer this year but Andre 3000 and his Benjamin Bixby clothing line are facing serious problems due to various factors. One of course being the outrageously priced garments. They are undeniably super-fly, but the price tags on the sweaters, jackets and pants are enough to make even the most avant-garde shoppers step back and ponder before purchasing. Andre 3000 was very hands on with the clothing line which was ‘inspired by college football circa 1935’ and extreme attention was given to detail thus encouraging the high production costs.
The extravagant department store, Barneys which stocks the Benjamin Bixby line has slashed prices to half their original cost in attempt to get rid of their inventory. The Outkast front man is to star in the impending movie New York, I love You which is set to hit movie theaters in February.

  1. What did he expect? Thousands of people to flock to Barneys and buy as if there is no limit to their budget? In this economy? HAHAHA.

There are lots of these threads in thriftshops for way way way way way less the price of the Bixby line.

  2. people will not going to spend outrageously priced garments for that. i don’t know but type of clothing they used that they have to priced it that high. at first i’m not interested of purchasing.
