We’re talking about an unlikely collaboration between Crunk ‘N’ B princess Ciara and G-Unit General 50 Cent. In a bid to add some kind of flavor to her song "Dope Boys," which appears on the forthcoming sophomore set Ciara: The Evolution, Ciara tapped 50 Cent to bless the track with some 16s. "Rodney Jerkins produced it and I think it’s going to be a big record. The way he laid his verses is crazy," Ciara told MTV News recently.
"Promise"—a mid-tempo ballad laced by Polow da Don ("London Bridge")—is the lead cut from Ciara’s new longplayer. The music video for "Promise" is expected to debut on October 25, while Ciara: The Evolution is slated for release on December 5, 2006.
