The A$AP Mob general keeps fanning the flames with his new album.

A$AP Mob’s legendary August (or Awgest I should say) is continuing right on schedule. After Rocky’s tweet announcing the group’s month roll-out plan, which will expand their artistic reach to multiple verticals, the dominos started falling en route to creative transcendence. Twelvyy dropped his album 12 on August 4th, the mob released the video for “Feels So Good”—a single off the upcoming Cozy Tapes Volume II— this past week, and now A$AP Ferg is doing his part.

Following his 2016 well-received album, ALWAYS STRIVE AND PROSPER, Ferg dropped Still Striving today—a 14-track endeavor. With the help of Meek Mill, Ferg starts the album with guns blazing on the energetic banger, “Trap And A Dream”, setting the tone for the project’s remainder. Themes of success and escaping the trap populate the majority of the project, which are illuminated by the hands of divergent eras: legendary Harlem emcee Cam’Ron throws in his two cents on “Rubber Band Man”, and new wave pioneer Famous Dex flexes on “Coach Cartier”. Other features on the album include Madeintyo, Migos, Mob members Rocky and Playboi Carti, and of course, the star-studded single, “East Coast REMIX”, features Busta Rhymes, Dave East, Rocky, and French Montana—truly an anthem for the New York supporters.

Ferg continues to prove that he is an invaluable A$AP Mob asset. He might be playing sidekick to Rocky’s Batman, but his distinct flow, vivid storytelling, and beat selections makes him a unique player in today’s game.
