Happy New Year to everyone!  In terms of album sales, 2012 has been off to a slow start and it’s looking like mid-February is when the onslaught of album releases will resume.  Regardless, several successful projects have dropped in the past two weeks.  The most notable is Yo Gotti’s RCA project, Live From The Kitchen, which has scanned over 20,000 units since its release.  This star-studded coke rap album features notable appearances from Rick Ross, Jadakiss, Wiz Khalifa, Big K.R.I.T., Big Sean, Gucci Mane, Nicki Minaj, and 2 Chainz, among others.  Emerging as a force on the West Coast, ScHoolboy Q is proving to be a worthy counterpart to fellow Black Hippy member Kendrick Lamar, as his second indie release, Habits & Contradictions has moved nearly 7,000 units digitally, landing him a spot on the Billboard Top 200.  It’s also worth mentioning that Future is seeing some change from his free mixtape, Astronaut Status, as it is now available for sale and sold roughly 600 copies this past week.  Until next week, enjoy the sales report, and as always if there are any sales that you are interested, drop us a comment.
