Another One Bites The dust… Giant Mag
I’ve got to remember to do a list before the end of the year of all the publications that have gone under in the last 12 months.  It won’t be short.

Julia Beverly Vs. The World, part 2
So, Julia Beverly fired another shot in this “Julia Beverly vs. the world” beef that seems to be going on, by writing what must be at least a 12 page diatribe (click for full story above) that was blasted out over the internets and will be in the upcoming OZONE mag issue, about how Gucci’s management are allegedly “sucking the blood out of the music industry…”  In this battle of words, there have been a lot of accusations of sucking fluids from some body or another being bandied about…  Julia’s clearly trying to protect what’s left of her public image with this piece, but with sections titles like “Modern Day Slavery” and “Federal Fraud” it’s definitely coming out ugly.

Then, yesterday, I received an email in my inbox from IsisWisdom and DJ Xplosive via Wordonthestreets Mag, both of whom took shots / hosted forums for Julia Beverly debauchery, saying that Beverly had sent out an email from a newly created ning account claiming to be them, and co-signing her.  I can hardly even tell who to trust (no one) or what to believe (it’s a rough business), but someone’s gonna catch some kinda heat (not from the internets) if this keeps going like it is… No Shots (literally)

Torrent sites clamping down?
Mininova.org, one of the more popular and widespread bittorrent sites, has removed all unauthorized torrent files from its site, which is to say, they’re pretty much done.  Could this (and the Pirate Bay’s impending doom) be the beginning of the end for torrent sites and free file-sharing?

Stricter Rules for File Sharing in Japan?
Cracking down on Pirates (no Somalia), the Japanese Gov. arrested 10 people for file-sharing.  Are things actually looking up in the battle for paid-content?
