Less than a year ago, Future came to SOBs to do his first New York show and only a handful of people came out to support.  If Future were to play the same show today, there’s no doubt in my mind that it would be sold out.  It’s crazy how far Future has come in a mere year in terms of building his buzz outside of the South.  The rising Atlanta star made his top 10 debut this week, coming in at number 8 on the Billboard 200.  The Doggfather also cracked the top 200 by serving up 2,500 units of his 4/20 themed EP, Stoner’s. Another noisemaker was Dizzy Wright, the Las Vegas MC who released his aptly named Smoke Out Conversations project on the timely date of April 20th. Dizzy moved over 1,800 units in roughly 5 days, which makes him slightly more successful than Snoop if you took a daily average of albums sold.

Future “Pluto” – 41,469 (36% digital)

Snoop Dogg “Stoner’s” – 2,500 (100% digital)

Dizzy Wright “Smoke Out Conversations” – 1,806 (100% digital)

Spose“The Audacity!” – 828 (100% digital)
