If single sales are any indication of the success of Lil Wayne’s  upcoming album, Tha Carter IV, Weezy may hit another one out of the park.  This week, Wayne and Drake sold 243,000 digital copies of “She Will.”  Other than that, sales were relatively tame as there was a sparse amount of releases during the week of August 16th.  La Coka Nostra member Slaine released his first official album on Suburban Noize, A World With No Skies 2.0.  While some of the subjects on the album are touchy in their own right, the release of this album itself is equally controversial due to the entire album leaking in October and then getting pushed back and remade due to sample clearance issues.  Based on Slaine’s success as a member of La Coka Nostra and Special Teamz and his various movie roles, 2500 units isn’t very impressive.  However, given the circumstances this is definitely a win for the Boston native.  The only other new release I stumbled upon is Bigtyme Way, a repackaging of old and somewhat rare UGK tracks, which didn’t seem to hit many listeners’ radar as it only sold 195 copies.
