Amber Rose Bashes Kanye West For Use of Ghostwriters at LA Nightclub

Just when you thought Amber Rose was prepared to behave amiably towards her ex-beau Kanye West, she drops a bombshell late night at a Los Angeles nightclub. After an undisclosed number of songs from the rapper/producer’s extensive catalogue were played, Amber Rose took to the mic to request the DJ, “Stop playing n*ggas I used to f*ck. What seemed to be just harmless banter became malicious as Amber Rose enthusiastically suggested that the unnamed DJ instead, “play the n*gga that writes the songs for [Kanye West], Travi$ Scott.” The Houston, Texas native is of course affiliated with Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music imprint, contributing sonically and lyrically on three song on the Cruel Summer LP as well as providing additional production for Yeezus.

Reports of Kanye West’s use of ghostwriters have been circulated inside industry circles since Rhymefest’s involvement in the creation of the crossover smash-hit “Jesus Walks” from The College Dropout. Consequence, of A Tribe Called Quest Fame, also claimed to “participate” in Kanye’s writing process. While Kanye utilizing Travi$ Scott as a ghostwriter is not shocking, it is compelling news especially when coming from such an unabashed source. It will be interesting to see how the Louis Vutton Don will respond to this latest slight, if at all.
