What up? I’m pretty fucking tired. I had an exhausting evening of listening to music and smoking blunts. To add insult to injury I had to wake up early this morning and listen to more music. The sad thing is that I don’t even feel like I’ve done a good enough job. I just have this gut feeling I missed something. Ohh the joys of being a blogger. You know the deal. If something sounds good to you, then download the thing.

-My boy Cinematic has being sending in some tracks from one of his artists Blues, and this is the first one I’ve gotten around to commenting on. Blues is from Boston specifically Mattapan or if you’re a 17 year old thug from Boston it is sometimes referred to as Murdapan (I love retarded nicknames like this). He’s from the infamous Blue Hill avenue, hence the name Blues. I’ve been told he is rapping over a Dilla beat although I don’t recognize it. This track “Workin On It” is bonkers, so its time for us to get familiar with the dude.

-I just want to write about how pissed I am at this Akon & UGK track. UGK honestly may be in my top 5 and Akon had to go out and completely gayify this song. UGK is the truth and Akon is some poser who lies about doing jail time, and the two should not grace the same song. It’s weird because Pimp C is one of the rappers I relate to the most on a personal level, and we really couldn’t have come from more opposite places. His track “Shattered Dreams” on the last UGK album might as well be a guidebook for how I’ve chosen to live my life. Pimp just stands up for what he believes in, and is completely unapologetic for it. In my opinion that is ultimately what separates the men from the boys.

-Then we got my favorite track of the day “Funky Piano” Produced by DJ Revolution and featuring Crooked I, Bishop Lamont & Stylistic. The beat just has me grooving which tends to be the most important factor in music for me. If a beat forces my body to react with some movement that means it’s hot. Bishop Lamont is turning into one of my favorite new mc’s even if he isn’t that new. I highly recommend you cop his last Mixtape The Confessional here. It’s pretty much all original beats, as well as just being original period. All my comrades in hip-hop blogging world are all over Crooked I’s dick, but I still find the guy to be completely average. I think he is ingenious as far as being creative with marketing himself on the internet, but I can name three young west coast guys that are all much nicer then him. Bishop Lamont, Jay Rock, and Nipsey Hussle. Especially Nipsey, he might be the best of them all. You can cop his classic Mixtape Bullets Ain’t Got No Name Vol 1. here.

-One final track I wanted to talk about was this “Push” track by Izza Kizza. He is Timbo’s new artist and he just dropped a Mixtape which Dan wrote all about here. I of course had to put my two cents in at the bottom of the article. I mainly just wanted to link you to the third Mixtape of today’s dose. This track should give you a decent vibe of what to expect from the whole tape. It’s definitely different which I always think is a good thing. If that isn’t enough music to hold you off until tomorrow then I don’t know what else I can do for you. Enjoy.

As always be sure to check out the audio section for the rest of the songs that came out today. I’m accepting music from anyone that wants to send it in. Put the name of the song and artist(s) in the title of the email and any additional info in the body of the email. Just send one or maybe two tracks. It needs to be in an mp3 format and please only send me good stuff. You can send it to featuredaudio@crackspace.net. Looking forward to hearing what you got.
