What up?  So I rolled to Asher Roth‘s listening party last night, but people were more socializing the whole time then listening so I can’t really judge the album from what I heard.  I did get to briefly blaze with Asher and talk to him.  He seemed like a really humble down to earth dude.  You could tell he was kind of shocked with the amount of people who were rolling up to him like they knew him (cough*me*cough).  The highlight of the whole night by far was watching John Brown hollering at Asher‘s manager that Asher is just jacking his “white boy from the burbs” swagger.  It was just funny to me that Scooter Braun was even wasting his time listening to that joker.  Brown clearly doesn’t understand that there is no way he can ever be taken seriously because he won the White Rapper show on VH1 which actually leads to negative credibility.  Overall it was a good time, and the fact there was free Heiniken made it even better.  Let’s get into the music though.  featuredaudio@ihiphop.com.

-So Kanye and Consequence hop on my favorite track from Q-Tips The Renaissance, which you can get in stores now.  Song is on some chill shit, and you should cop it.  By the way Consequence is seriously underrated.

.

-Wow this Pac Div track “Shut Up” is straight bonkers.  If you guys aren’t up on LA’s most exciting rap group, then I’m going to have to recommend that you step your game up.  I’m going to go ahead and call them the modern day Tribe, and I understand the significance of that statement.  Just listen to “wake up”, and tell me I’m wrong.  Well this “Shut Up” track is off their EP which you can cop on itunes now.

.

-I don’t even want to waste my time on the shit Wayne is dropping right now.  This shit is just so forced.  Eventually Wayne will realize that he is trying to hard and will go back to the old formula.  Well even if he doesn’t realize it, Universal will make him realize it because he is one of the few profitable artists left for them to eat off of.  God forbid Universal changed their business model into something more sensible.

.

-It’s well documented that I love UGK, and here is a perfect reason why.  A track called “Hairy Asshole” featuring Baton Rouge all stars Webbie & Lil Boosie.  How can you not love this shit?  “You can shave off your pussy/ you can wax your shit smooth/ but if you do bitch/ my dick will never move“-Pimp C.  For two more UGK joints, and a dope UGK feature on a Redman & Method Man track go here.
