What’s Goody?  Got some good shit today.  featuredaudio@ihiphop.com.

.

-It really is a shame that Rick Ross is a complete fraud, because I actually like a lot of the music off of Deeper Than Rap.  The production is phenomenal and Ross compliments the beats well (i.e. “Cigar Music”).  It’s just that he habitually raps about things that are complete falsehoods.  Obviously rappers over exaggerate, but I think there is a good chance i’ve sold more drugs then Ricky has.  Plus the sad thing is how much responsibility of the situation falls on him.  He had a lot of opportunities to not make himself  look like a tool, and he just failed to take those preventive measures.  Your shits weak Ricky, what can I say.

.

-Two dope Jada joints.  I mean whenever you see Jada and Styles on a track together you should feel obligated to cop it.  The Last Kiss in stores 4/7.

.

-J. Cole is Jay-Z‘s newest signee to Roc Nation, and I must say it’s a little out of left field.  Everything i’ve heard from the dude has been nice, but signing to Jay‘s Roc Nation nice?  I dono. Definitely check him out, and give me some feedback.

.

-I gotta be honest.  I absolutely despise Ace Hood.  He’s just an invention of DJ Khaled (another winner).  Without Khaled‘s connections to features Hood wouldn’t have a career.  Plus the thing that really frustrates me about Ace is that it’s so transparent that he is rapping about things he thinks he is supposed to rap about.  He’s not going into the booth to be creative and do something new.  Ace goes in to the booth to do the same played out shit that a bunch of rappers have already done, so he can get some radio play that Khaled then forces on us.  I just can’t respect Ace is ultimately my point.  Do you like Ace, because you think he’s dope, or because he’s what corporations tell you is good?  That’s my question.

.

-Up next we got the boy XVXV is pretty much the polar opposite of  Ace Hood.  He’s from a small market (Wichita, Kansas), and when he goes in the booth it’s to do some really unique shit that is completely unlike anything another rapper is doing right now.  As much as his beats stick out as being crazy and futuristic, it’s his lyrical abilities that just have me dumbfounded.  He’s just so completely honest with who he is, that I’m forced to respect him.  Plus I got on the phone with him awhile back, and I gotta co-sing the dudes character.  Just has his priorities in order.  XV isn’t caught up in any bullshit, in a day and age where drama is the staus quo.  He is just hungry to make dope creative music.  That’s all I really ask from an artist.
