What’s good people?  My weekend was pretty uneventful.  Saw GZA on Friday at Irving Plaza, and it was pretty ill.  RZA, Raekwon, & Cappadonna all made appearances.  I was just furious the whole time because one of my amateur co-workers told me there would be no way I could blaze in the venue which was a bold-faced lie because I swore I was the only one there not smoking a blunt.  The show was good, but it only proved what I already knew in that I am a pretty weak Wu-Tang fan.   All aspiring hip-hop artists can feel free to hit me with one or maybe two tracks at featuredaudio@crackspace.net.  Please make sure they are in mp3 format.  A lot of people are getting careless with how they send shit, so it’s not that I don’t like it.  It’s simply that I can’t even listen to it.  Well let’s jump into the music.  Some of these tracks are as old as Friday, but my computer wasn’t being co-operative.

-Here is the first track of The Skull Gang mixtape Takeover.  All I know is that Juelz is dropping snippets from the tape and marketing it like it’s some sort of huge deal.  I think Juelz is trying to start his own little Dipset, and it’s not going to work.  So now there is Dipset, Byrdgang, and Skull Gang?  It’s a shame Dipset has come to this because it really could have been one of the most powerful movements in the game.  Back to Skull Gang.  These dudes are completely average, but Juelz thinks they’re pretty cool.  I foresee an extensive career as weed carriers/hype men in their near future.  Plus who else thinks Juelz needs to shut the fuck up with his whole swag splashing gimmick.  We get it; you wear a lot of Gucci.  If you want some Dipset awesomeness go here.

-I actually really like this Ne-Yo song (insert gay joke here).  It’s almost got a Billy Joel type swagger to it.

-A Shawty Lo track?  You would have thought the dude went into hiding after he took a huge L.  That’s what you get for going at the King.

-Say word to more Devon The Dude.  Apparently the track name “El Grande Nalgas” roughly means big booty in Spanish, because sexually harassing females about their asses is insufficient to do in simply one language.  I wanna start saying that to girls down in the LES where I live (a big Puerto Rican neighborhood), but Puerto Rican broads don’t play and would probably kick my ass.  Devon loves rapping about smoking blunts, getting drunk, and fucking so I am pretty much his core demographic.  This track is off of Landing Gear like “I Can’t Make It Home” which you can cop here.

-Jarvis is a new (as far as I know) signee to DTP, hence the Luda feature.  You must remember at the end of the day this music thing is a business.  I’m just not really sure who is actually caking off of it these days.

-This dude Vi has been sending in tracks for a minute now, and I wanted to show him some love.  He is out of the Chi, and while he is currently unsigned he has made some moves, most notably getting his track in an Entourage episode.  Please excuse me while I rant on Entourage.  It used to be the best show on television hands downs, and it’s really starting to suck.  If it wasn’t for Drama I’m not even sure I’d watch anymore.  I guess all good things must come to an end.  Anyway this Vi track is pretty ill, and I like the Kanye sample.  The whole Chicago scene is just nuts in general these days.
