What’s the deal?  It’s hump day so let’s hop into the end of the week with some new music.  I’m just going to plug the boy K-Salaam one more time.  He is spinning tonight with Scram Jones, and tomorrow with Just Blaze at Sutra in the LES of Manhattan.  It’s right on first and first for you New York motherfuckers.  I think I’m gunna be there tonight and tomorrow.  Feel free to send me in your original music if you like.  Send one track in mp3 format on an original beat to featuredaudio@crackspace.net.  Be sure to link your ihiphop page.

-For those who haven’t caught on yet, I’m pretty much doing a dose now, just for R&B called R&B Jumpoffs.  I don’t want all the R&B getting in the way of loud and obnoxious rap music so I had to start a new series.  I just write inappropriate sexual references in those stories but you can scope the one I did today here.  I just want the light to go off in you head when you see that title that you must click on the story to cop all those necessary R&B joints.

-Speaking of my other stories I threw one up with four T.I. joints you can download, and you can check out that story here.

-Ok Ok, I can fuck with this Freeway joint.  I’m a Freeway fan but I think that has more to do with all the Just Blaze production he had on his first album as opposed to his lyrical skills.  Don’t get it twisted Free is nice, but he is never going to be named in any top 5 or even top 10 lists.  Free is ahead of the game compared to most rappers  in that he understands the importance of the internet.  He’s been remaining relevant by habitually giving us internet heads tracks.  Keep it coming Free.

-I know absolutely nothing about this YP dude except that he is from Chicago, and that this track of his “Hustle” is completely fucking dope.  It’s got a little 1920′s steez on it, and I think it’s ill.  Anyone can make one good song, but I’ll definitely be on the lookout for more shit from YP.

-The tracks from Statik & Skyzoo are both pretty nice if you like that real hip-hop shit.

-Project Pat? Yes!  North Memphis shit kiiiid. (never been to North Memphis, but I can tell I’d love it)
