What’s up.  I’m really sorry that the featured audio section has been whack the last day and a half.  Some weird technical shit was going down, and I had to get our nerd goons on it.  Anyway everything is good now, so lets do this.  You can submit music to me at featuredaudio@ihiphop.com.  Or at least I think you can.  It’s supposed to forward to featuredaudio@crackspace.net, but we’ll have to see what happens.  Please just send one track in mp3 format, and don’t be whack.

-All the other bloggers as usual are shitting their pants over anything Joe Budden, and this “Slaughterhouse’ track is no different.  It actually also features one of the internets most overrated in Crooked I.  It’s not like Joe and Crooked aren’t nice, because they are, but they are just getting way more hype then they deserve.  I think they are both really smart in how they are marketing themselves, but at the end of the day it’s about the quality of the music and people are fronting like they are some of the best in hip-hop when they just aren’t.  I think Joe is also in for a big disappointment in his Amalgam digital release.  People just aren’t going to pay for music, when it’s easier to steal.  These rappers have all these “die-hard” fans, but when it comes to putting up any paper they are no where to be found.  It’s like Diamond D said “you wanna hit the haze/but can’t spring for a dutch“.

-I know I’m late to the game on this guy, but I’m really starting to dig Trae.  His voice is obviously what distinguishes him, but the dude has a little spit in him.  This song with Bun is pretty dope.  You can snag a mixtape from Trae I threw up here, that also has a bunch of other tracks you can listen to in you’re not into the downloading scene.  You have to scroll all the way to the bottom.

-Statik Selektah is definitely becoming a problem as far as this hip-hop shit goes.  I’m feeling his movement, and I got a couple tracks from his album Stick 2 The Script, which drops on 10/21.  You should actually buy this album even though I know you won’t.

-Speaking of problems in hip-hop, everyone really needs to get familiar with Skyzoo.  The dude is just so dope.  I actually got to meet him and he is super laid back/ on some cool shit.  It’s not like he is arrogant, but he just kind of chills.  At least he was when I met him.  Maybe he was just really high or something.  I certainly was.
