-Wordsmith is outta Baltimore on his Independent grind. I think he actually just got back from touring over in Europe. I’ve talked to him via email and he seems like a solid dude. He claims he is going to blaze me down when he comes to NYC for his show at S.O.B.’s, and don’t think I won’t hold him to that. The only thing cooler then weed is free weed. But anyway the dude is dope and you should show him love. Go here to scope his mixtape and a bunch of tracks from him.

-Tabi Boney is also reppin the mid-atlantic, coming out of DC. He isn’t that underground considering he has had some songs that have gotten some spins on commercial outlets, but he certainly isn’t a household name. I’ve heard a lot of haters talk shit about Tabi, but I’ve always liked his unique style. Plus I’m a sucker for anything involving Curren$y.

-I really know nothing about this Melo-X dude, but I’ve heard his name mentioned in good company. Anyway this joint is pretty ill so I’ll let it speak for itself. I’m pretty sure he is on some Brooklyn shit.

-Boaz is outta Pittsburg, hence the name of this joint “Steel City”. I like the little weird sample they got going on in this track. Shit is just kinda hardbody. Go here for his mixtape and preview links.
