It’s been 10 years since the murder of the Notorious B.I.G. and the case has yet to be solved. Big’s mother Voletta Wallace has been in and out of court trying to get justice for her son bit to no avail. Now Ms. Wallace, Faith Evans and Biggie’s children have filed a wrongful death suit in the Los Angeles County Superior Court (the previous suit was in federal court), which names two former L.A. police officers as defendants.

According to the documents obtained by TMZ.com, the suit goes after the LAPD alleging a cover-up to protect the officers and others possibly involved in the murder and the investigation of the case. The suit also says the murder of Biggie was done in a “very efficient, organized and professional manner suggesting that a high degree of coordination and planning preceded his murder. There were numerous police officers and witnesses in the vicinity of the murder. Police had just been called to the front of the building due to shots having been fired in the air. The murderers had access to equipment (police radio) and knowledge of police tactics, which would allow them to strike at precisely the right time.”

Ms. Wallace, Faith and Big’s children are seeking unspecified general, compensatory and punitive damages.
