Stream Pimp C’s Posthumous Long Live the Pimp; Featuring Bun B, Nas, Juicy J, & More

When Port Arthur, Texas rapper Pimp C passed away in 2007, he left behind a legacy spanning over two decades. During his time in UGK, Pimp rapped and produced some of the group's most memorable songs; from their watershed 1996 album Ridin' Dirty to "International Players Anthem (I Choose You)" in 2007 -- the year of his untimely death -- his music will certainly live on forever. All things considered, it's only right for a posthumous Pimp album to ultimately manifest today. “This album is the culmination of years of work from not just me, but also the amazing artists and producers who contributed to make it happen,” his widow Chinara Butler says of Long Live the Pimp. “It combines several of the ideas and projects my husband began before his untimely passing. We hope the Trill fans enjoy it.” And with guests that include Bun B, Nas, T.I., Juicy J, A$AP Rocky, Slim Thug, Ty Dolla $ign, and many more, Long Live the Pimp is a 17-track long effort that will not only keep long time fans of Pimp C (and UGK) satisfied but give new listeners a taste of what made him so special to the rap game. Rapper LE$ is sharing the visuals for "UGK'z," a tribute to the extraordinary legacy of acclaimed hip hop duo UGK. And it's only fitting that he's joined by one half of that duo, Uncle Bun. Additionally, Curren$y stops by to lay down a verse. The track is said to be on LE$' forthcoming Steak X Shrimp 2 project, dropping this Sunday (November 22nd). In the meantime, check out the visuals for "UGK'z" after the jump.
B.o.B Shares Latest Project Psycadelik Thoughtz
9 years ago 580,041
Not sure if anyone reading this is looking out for B.o.B anymore but he's just released a new project -- a mixtape -- entitled Psycadelik Thoughtz. PT (because I vehemently refuse to repeat that album title again) is B.o.B's first full-length project since January's uneven No Genre: The Label mixtape. Here B.o.B offers up eleven new tracks (including the previously released single "Back & Forth") with approximately two guest spots -- neither of which pertain to hip hop, exactly. If you're one of those people still checking in for some new Bobby Ray then this latest project, PT, is right for you. Check it out after the jump. It's also currently available on iTunes.
