Buju Gets A Mistrial!

Buju Banton had been arrested last year on conspiracy of possessing five kilos of cocaine with intent to distribute charges.  The trial just ended in a mistrial.  According to Billboard:

  • A Florida judge declared a mistrial for Jamaican reggae star Buju Banton, who was accused of conspiring to buy cocaine from an undercover police officer last year.

    U.S. District Judge James Moody made the decision after the 12-person jury sent him a second note saying they couldn’t reach a verdict.

I would check out the whole article for further details.  I guess the Buju’s defense is based of the fact he was just “pretending” to buy drugs in order to impress the informant and his supposed music industry connections.  Sounds a litle shady to me, but apparenty it succesfully divided the jury.

His 2013 debut full length album Nostalgic 64 was one of that year's best rap albums and yet nobody paid it any attention. Now, Curry is back with a vengeance and he's spitting pure fire. New Music: Denzel Curry – “Ultimate”

When are we getting some new Denzel Curry? 2013's Nostalgic 64 was one of the best hip-hop records released that year. But sadly since then the Miami rapper has barely released much. Sure, Curry has given us stuff like "Feel Like That" and "Certified" but frankly I'm waiting on some full length material. Be it an album or mixtape. I don't care. And listening to Denzel Curry's new track "Ultimate" has me hyped tenfold for whatever he has in store. Hearing Curry rap over a Dixieland type beat is truly something else and judging by that artwork above Curry isn't playin' in 2015. Listen to "Ultimate" after the jump.
