Cassidy’s C.A.S.H is set to hit shelves soon and, unsurprisingly, a few tracks from the LP hit the internets. The tracks under review include “Peace” and “Awww Sh*t:” two tracks that couldn’t be more different from one another.

“Peace” takes the high road and contemplates on a hypothetical world without violence. The Philly rapper also rhymes a bit about Christianity with some factual miscues along the way (i.e. the Moses line,) history and some what if scenarios involving Hitler, Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X.  It’s a thoughtful record flaws aside in a world where such tracks are frowned upon. Boi-1da’s work boards are the icing on the cake and give the song a throwback feel. This is a leak from the album so a skit found its way on the link provided.

Cass switches gears on “Awww Sh*t” feat. Red Cafe and Jag. This is the brand of street record Cass made his name on so you ought to know what to expect. Thing is, the subject matter on this record doesn’t bother me that much since everyone raps about how fly they are. The problem is none of the heads on this record sound exceptional. Throw in a few bars about crack and it’s a pretty uninspired record.

C.A.S.H hits stores November 16. You already know what I think of these leaks. What’s your stance on them?
