Since Cedric the Entertainer’s last film, “Code Name: The Cleaner,” flopped hard, the comedian is taking a shot at television once again. Cedirc got his start hosting BET’s ComicView, and then on the Steve Harvey Show. After the success of the Original Kings of Comedy, Cedric got his own show on Fox called “Cedric the Entertainer Presents” but it was cancelled after one season.

Now Cedric has scored a deal to star in an untitled comedy where he plays a man who has always been the proud breadwinner for his family and has difficulty adjusting when his wife’s hobby turns into a multimillion-dollar enterprise. The script was written by Cedric and Rock Reuben and Michael Soccio who wrote for “The King of Queens.” Cedric will shoot a pilot and if ABC likes it, they could order it for this fall season.
