iHipHop AdminChamillionaire is taking an unconventional marketing approach for his upcoming album, Ultimate Victcory. The Mixtape Messiah will reward 600 fans who purchase his sophomore album with commemorative plaques.
100 lucky fans who mail in their official CD purchase receipts will receive special album plaques following Ultimate Victory’s initial release. Once the album is certified gold for sales over 500,000 units, 200 fans will also receive gold plaques.
To crown it all, 300 fans will receive platinum plaques once it is certified platinum for sales of over 1 million units. Chamillionaire will sign each plaque himself. There’s one catch though, winning fans will be required to submit photos of themselves along with their plaques to be posted HERE .
Says Chamillionaire: “Last year, I purchased over 300 platinum plaques to thank the executives, featured artists, producers, DJ’s and others who helped drive the success of Sound of Revenge. I know that the fans are also very responsible for an artist’s success and feel like they deserve to be recognized. This time I wanted to do something to show them how much I appreciate their support.”
Ultimate Victory is scheduled for release on September 18th.
