Living in New York City you have to be rich as hell just to be poor. Anywhere else people would feed you handpicked grapes and cool your brow with giant feather fans. Not in this glam capital. What was once the grittiest city is on the level of Tokyo or Paris when you consider how far your dollar goes.

Unlike Tokyo or even Paris tho’ is the fact that NYC has culture oozing from the cracks in the sidewalks. No time is this more evident than during the summer. This is when the museums and parks will be packed to the racks. Of all the events that go down in the city’s summer season nothing is better than the Central Park Summerstage.

Celebrating it’s 25th year in operation, the Central Park Summerstage is a concert series that features major artists along with up and coming talent. Best of all… It’s free. Yes, FREE.99! This year boast one of their most impressive Hip-Hop lineups evar. Jay Electronica, Public Enemy, EPMD, Big Daddy Kane, Pharoahe Monch, Doug E. Fresh, Brand Nubian and so many more artists are on the schedule.

The Central park Summerstage will also host the reunion of Living Colour. If you are real then you will recognize real and acknowledge the greatness of this rock band. Gil Scott-Heron is on the schedule with two(2) dates as well. New Music: Jay Electronica – “Man Up” (Leak)

Jay Elec, Jay Elec, Jay Elec -- where to begin? How about the fact that this dude has been teasing at new music for like -- I don't even know -- almost a decade now? He's also (reportedly) got some documentary film in the works, which is probably never gonna see the light of day. And now we've got a new, well, leaked track from Jay Electronica entitled "Man Up." Apparently this track dates back to George W. Bush's first term in office, which would mean somewhere between the years 2001-2005. The track is also produced by Jay Elec. Yesterday we shared a new Agallah track, "Rolling Stoned," which is set to appear on the rapper's forthcoming album Agalito's Way, dropping May 5th. Now he returns with "Get Your Sh*t Together" featuring the legendary Big Daddy Kane. "Working with Kane was an honor and a dream of mines and I’m glad to have him rock on Agalito's Way. He’s the O.G. New Music: Jay Electronica – “Road to Perdition”

The mysterious Jay Electronica has shared a new track entitled "Road to Perdition." The song features a sample of Jay-Z's "Success" from his 2007 album American Gangster. No word as to whether or not this track will appear on a new Jay Electronica project, which has been in limbo since forever ago. This is the first new song Jay Electronica has shared since last year's "Better in Tune With the Infinite." He is also starring in the film Into the Light which is scheduled to be released this year. In case you haven't heard Fashawn is back. After dropping his FASH-ionably Late mixtape (with The Alchemist) last year Fashawn returns in 2015 with The Ecology (which drops February 24th.) Fashawn has already shared "Guess Who's Back," "Out the Trunk," and the Nas/Aloe Blacc featured "Something to Believe In." And now Fashawn, being the gentleman that he is, is sharing the entire project for free. That's right, an album stream of all fourteen tracks.
