Dates Announced for VH1 Tour Featuring The Roots, Lyte, Kane

      In honor of its upcoming Hip-Hop Honors award show, VH1 have put together a Hip-Hop Honors Tour featuring The Roots, MC Lyte, and Big Daddy Kane. Both Kane and Lyte have been honored at VH1 Hip-Hop Honors in the last two years and The Roots have been the backing band for most of the musical tributes during the show.

      The tour launches on September 13 in San Francisco’s Fillmore and will run until October 5, ending in New York’s Nokia Theater and kicking off VH1’s Hip-Hop Honors Weekend. The Roots will also back both Lyte and Kane during their sets. Here’s the tour itinerary:
