A blood-pumping visual.

Dave East has been on a tear lately. Over the summer, he released his first Def Jam album, Paranoia: A True Story— a harrowing look into his tumultuous adolescence that shaped his current artistic vision. Last week, he was joined by Lil Uzi Vert on his single, “Don’t Talk”. But one of his biggest features to date came from Paranoia’s “Phone Jumpin” with Wiz Khalifa. Today, they released the track’s music video.

One of the project’s biggest hits, totaling over eight-million Spotify spins, “Phone Jumpin” is an upbeat cut whose video harbors similarities to early Busta Rhyme visuals—fitting to pay homage to a New York legend. Fish-eye shots of an up close East, demonic images, curvy women, a beefed-up Wiz, all in an ominous warehouse, populate the video, giving it a gritty edge and an inside look into East’s imagination.
