Def Jam Gives Up Again…

Island Def Jam has stopped ALL promotion on Mariah Carey’s latest album, Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel, including the new single H.A.T.E.U.

Instead, remix albums will be issued in February with one featuring pop and hip-hop remixes of all the songs on Memoirs including 4 brand new songs. The other album will be Electro-Pop remixes done by the Jump Smokers.

The first remix released will be a reworked version of the lovely Angels Cry, featuring Ne-Yo and is expected to hit radio around January 4th.

Another Def Jam gimmick in the era of .99 cent Rihanna Albums…SMH.

Although Jadakiss hasn't really been making waves when it comes to the album format, he's still a legend in the game -- there's no question about that. His last album was 2009's The Last Kiss, which featured some stellar cuts -- including single "By My Side" -- but since then Jada's mostly been hard at work with his fellow LOX brothers. However, all of that changed recently when the Yonkers emcee dropped his latest album, Top 5 Dead or Alive. And he's now sharing the visuals to one of the album's many highlights, the Ne-Yo and Nipsey Hussle assisted "Ain't Nothin' New," produced by Beat Butcha, Buda & Grandz. New Music: Mariah Carey – “Why You Mad (Infinity Remix)” feat. French Montana, Justin Bieber & T.I.

This is perhaps the single worst song I've had the displeasure of hearing in all of 2015 thus far. Also, side note: I've grown tired of the internet's relationship with rap music and hip hop culture -- this meme stuff has to stop. I know it won't and don't get wrong, I don't mind it, per say -- it's getting out of had. With all the "u mad" and "why u mad" and Drake/Meek Mill memes. It's a mess. And this song, "Why You Mad," can be added to that. It's a Mariah Carey track, from his forthcoming studio album, and it's produced by the once-acclaimed Detail. Yet the song is utterly terrible and lifeless, and the French Montana, Justin Bieber, and T.I. (huh?) features don't add anything either. Oh, and this track was premiered by TMZ. Enjoy.
