DMX was arrested Monday on a warrant for not having a valid driver’s license and was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on Monday afternoon. His bond was set at $500.

      In January the rapper was forced to pay the mother of his child $1 million dollars in punitive damages and $518,000 in compensatory damages for defamatory remarks he made in Sister 2 Sister magazine.

      Earl Simmons aka DMX is also awaiting trial on drug and animal cruelty charges in Arizona. Police in May raided his home in Maricopa County, where deputies say they found 12 neglected pitbulls. He has pleaded not guilty in that case.
