I reported that after breaking up with Chris Brown,  Rihanna was chopped down by 4 rappers in one month ( read about that here ). Drake was one of those rappers that gave RiRi the business, but it seems like he wanted a lot more.  In a recent NY times article he  was quoted as saying:

On “Fireworks” there’s a verse about Rihanna, who asked him last year to write a song for her new album. “I was a pawn,” Drake said. The song he wrote for her never got released. “You know what she was doing to me? She was doing exactly what I’ve done to so many women throughout my life, which is show them quality time, then disappear,” he said. “I was like, wow, this feels terrible.”

The lyrics go like this:
“I’m just such a gentleman… I can tell it wasn’t love I just thought you f-ck with me who could of predicted lucky strike would have you stuck with me. I kept my wits about me luckilly. What happened between us that night it always seems to trouble me? Now all of a sudden these gossip brags wanna cover me and you making it seem that it happened that way because of me.”

Drake also discussed how he doesn’t feel safe in his hood anymore:
In May 2009 he was robbed at gunpoint in a Toronto restaurant. He cooperated with the police investigation, in what some perceived as a violation of hip-hop’s no-snitching ethos. “I feel unsafe in Toronto at all times,” Drake said. “I’m a one of one. There’s no one else you can hate as much as me if you hate money, or you hate success.
