50 Cent made his mark in Queens yesterday along side Oscar winning actress Bette Midler. The two combined their charitable organizations, 50’s G Unity Foundation and Bette’s New York Restoration project to work at renovating a community garden in Jamaica, Queens which was opened to the public yesterday.
The Baisley Park Community Garden which is reported to have cost over $200,000 to fix up will be named Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson Community Garden. This is reported to be the first of many projects that the rapper plans to be involved with. The G Unity Organization has provided grants to a variety of non-profit organizations since its inception in 2005 to develop areas and communities that are often ignored by local councils.
