Flying Lotus has been in the game for a minute now, producing some of hip-hop’s most eclectic and forward-thinking records of the 2000s and 2010s. So you may not be all that surprised that he’s a bit offended when Kanye West didn’t put him on his 2013 left field opus, Yeezus. “I should have been on it,” he said. “It was kind of weird that I wasn’t. Just being totally real, not on some ego sh*t…. I was like, ‘They didn’t even call!'”

It also comes as no surprise that FlyLo is upset seeing as there was a laundry list of people working on the album. “That’s my favorite one of his albums,” Ellison continued. “I really wish I was part of it.” In addition to feeling down about not working on ‘Ye’s Yeezus, FlyLo is also bummed he didn’t get to work with Earl Sweatshirt. “There’s a few things that came out that I really wish I was on. I wish I was on that. I wish I was on the Earl [Sweatshirt] album, the Doris album.”

FlyLo has been wanting to collaborate with ‘Ye for some time now and he says ‘Ye knows where he’s at if ‘Ye ever comes around to it. “I’ve been trying, man! I feel like, at this point, it’s been expressed enough. He knows where I’m at.”

Maybe we will get a Flying Lotus x Kanye West album in the near future? A feature alone would have the hip-hop community going crazy!
