The second single from the upcoming Uncle Drew film.

Kyrie Irving might have turned heads with his “untucked jersey” alter ego, but his original alias is far superior to the sloppy dresser one. I’m of course talking about his character created with Pepsi, Uncle Drew. The undercover Irving disguised as an old man who would embarrass unsuspecting challengers is finally getting the appreciation that he deserves: a feature-length film. To properly accent this surefire cinematic masterpiece, the producers have recruited a collection of hip-hop artists to provide the soundtrack. Today, we’ve received the second single, “1942”, from G-Eazy featuring Yo Gotti and YBN Nahmir.

Following the soundtrack’s first single, “Cocky” by A$AP Rocky, Gucci Mane, and 21 Savage, “1942” is a swaggy offering that finds the song’s trio complementing each other’s aesthetic while finding mutual ground about their lavish lifestyles. Produced by Hitmaka, “1942”’s is a vibey instrumental that foreshadows a great project in the making.
