Guwop could be heading home sooner than expected.

According to Radar Online, Gucci and his lawyers are working on a plea deal which would drastically shorten his potential jail time for threatening police with a firearm back in September. The Atlanta rapper was originally looking at 20 years in the pen.

“All parties anticipate resolution without the need of a trial,” court documents say.

“The parties believe they may have resolved this matter subject to certain approvals including a meeting with the Court,” court documents continues. “However, due to various schedule conflicts, counsel have been unable to finalize the matter and given defense counsels respective absence from the jurisdiction over the next week, will be unable to finalize the matter prior to the trial date.”

Despite paying his legal dues, Gucci continues to feed the streets with plenty of new music. Brick Factory, Vol. 1 and Young Thugga Mane La Flare, which were both originally slated for an April 1 release, are now expected to drop by the end of the month.
