Fresh off a successful summit in California that included such stars as Nick Cannon, Taraji P. Henson, and Too Short, the Hip-Hop Summit Action (HSAN) Network is bringing its summit on financial empowerment to Dallas on October 14. The summit will cover the basics of banking, home ownership, repairing bad credit and understanding credit scores, entrepreneurship, vehicle financing and more.

Celebs slated to participate include Erykah Badu, Paul Wall, Raz-B (of B2K) and Rocsi (of BET’s 106 & Park). The event will be hosted by HSAN Chairman Russell Simmons and President and CEO Dr. Benjamin Chavis.

“The Dallas Hip-Hop Summit on Financial Empowerment will present some of the most important facts and information on how to ‘Get Your Money Right,’” Simmons said. “With the proper information and a steadfast determination to take the right steps, people can get themselves out of poverty. The Hip-Hop generation seeks to improve the quality of life of all people and this will be our 58th summit in the last five and a half years where we continue to witness artists and others giving back to help raise the consciousness of the masses.”

The HSAN Financial Empowerment tour will conclude in Toronto on October 28. For more information
