Back in 2005, R. Kelly’s “Trapped in a Closet” music video series was a hit with fans and now the Independent Film Channel (IFC) wants in on some new videos. According to Variety, the cable channel announced that they will air the original 12 videos of the “Trapped in a Closet” video series and then collaborate with Kelly to produce 10 more videos.
The videos, which were an online hit a couple years ago, was never really shown on a channel all together so it made sense with Kelly to get down with IFC. The entire 22-episode “hip-hopera” will air as a film and stream from IFC.com. There’s no word on when the new episodes will be produced or when they will air.
