Theophilus London has oddly enough become one of the more promising rappers to come out of NYC recently in my opinion.  He is also a rapper who has managed to gain notoriety while bypassing a lot of the traditional hip hop right of passages.  I’m not mad at that.  He’s kind of on that pop wave, but the music avoids sounding generic.  But with that comes cool guy stuff like hanging out with Yeezy in Cannes or designing one off Sebago’s in the Dominican Republic with Ronnie Fieg.

The topics of discussion included the NYC hip-hop scene, older hip-hop heads being intimidated by his sound, and what scares him.  Check out his debut album Timez Are Weird These Days which drops July 19th.
