I recently sat down with Young Chris to see what he was up to.  He discusses how often making music that can stand the test of time is more important that making music that is considered “successful”.  He says it best “I want to make forever music, I don’t want to be making music forever.”  Chris also talks about his relationship with Jay-Z, and how he uses his career as a template for himself.  We also discussed how they’re is more to life and rap than the “street life”.

Finally Young Chris wraps it up by discussing his friendship with Wale (see interview), and their upcoming mixtape The Odd Couple.  Be sure to check it out.  Young Chris is definitely one of the coolest rappers I’ve come across yet.  If you are having difficulty watching the em-bed click here.

Also be sure to cop Young Chris’s fire mixtape, The Network.
