If you say the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the term “Christian Music” isn’t visions of people running around wearing all white with acoustic guitars, chanting hymns from the Bible, trying to save people; then you’re not being truthful. Those who aren’t tuned into the Christian Music genre might think that, but Atlanta’s Lecrae isn’t here to preach to you on a soapbox with a blow horn in hand.

He might be labeled as a Christian artist, but in most people’s opinion, he’s just an ‘artist’ plain and simple, who’s found that path of God in his music. We were able to hook with Lecrae here in New York at Cutting Room Studios, while we checked out offerings from his upcoming album, Gravity. The conversation stemmed from religion, and onto discussions regarding the Meek Mill/”Amen” controversy, collaborations with Statik Selektah and 9th Wonder, and much more. Time to check it out.
