MC’ing has become one of the most overcrowded professions in recent history. Some may even argue the fact that now there are truly more artists than fans when it comes to Hip-Hop. With that being said, one of the game’s overlooked veterans has his sights set on making you believe just why he’s worth your time, and most importantly; your money.

Brooklyn’s own TSA, (short for True Sun Ali) has been making the rounds for nearly two decades, and now he’s back with his latest project, The Candidate Mixtape: Business Politricks with production from the likes of Lord Digga and Vinny Idol, as well as many others. We sat down with TSA in the swanky neighborhood of SOHO at Bar 89 over lunch to discuss his latest project, coming out of the world’s most famous borough, and more.

This year marked the legendary The Rock Steady Crew’s 35th Anniversary. To celebrate, they threw a concert in Lincoln Park in Newark NJ.
