For those hoping that the New Jersey Nets would be playing in the “Roc-A-Wear Arena”, looks like it’s not going to happen. The New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority have given the naming rights of the Continental Airlines Airlines to clothing company Izod.

Continental Airlines was paying roughly $1.3 million a year to have their name attached to the arena and Jay-Z was willing to do the same. The arena will now be called the Izod Center. No worries though. The Nets will make a move to Brooklyn after the 2008-2009 season and Jigga will have a chance to buy the naming rights to the new arena being built in the city.
