Jeezy’s VIBE interview looks like a pretty interesting read.  He has always delivered when it comes to him giving good copy.  Here are a couple of outtakes from his VIBE feature discussing DJ Drama and T.I., his new album and the Shawty Redd situation:

On T.I. & DJ Drama

“I always took this thing like me and Tip was like Big and Jay. Just in the sense of we always coexist. We really never had no issues or nothing we couldn’t work out. And if it was it was just what club we meeting at. What time, you know what I’m saying? Anything he’s done, I’ve pretty much supported him, just as well as anything I’ve done, he pretty much supported me. He like the cat on the other side of town who get money, too. And it’s like that. You could be in the city and two niggas run the city, you know what I’m saying? Like, we been on a few tours together, you know, did a couple of classic records, and um, it’s just one of those things. That’s how I always looked at it. Like we was like Big and Jay. Pac and Snoop.

You know actually me and Tip, we had a, well not even a sitdown, I think we was at a show or something and we was chopping it up about the shit [with Drama] and you know he was asking what’s the problem and I really couldn’t tell him. He asked a direct question. I was like, well shit, I think it’s your man. And it was just one of them things so he was like, ‘I’ma holler at Dram’ so he hollered at Dram. We ended up having a little powwow one day, but that didn’t work cause you know, like I said, again, people was talking between us, so you know just outta respect for what was going on, I think Tip just kinda took a backseat to it cause it wasn’t really his business.

And like I said, I ain’t in this to be beefing with no DJs. Me and dude just had a, you know, just had a real misunderstanding, and you know it’s something that we had to work out. It wasn’t even nobody that really had to work it out for us, it was more so like damn, nigga, what’s up. So you know, that’s how that happened with me, him and Dram. Tip wouldn’t trip like that. You know he tried to [fix the situation]. Tip one of them type of niggas, man.”

On TM103

I might be Makaveli on this shit, like I just don’t give a fuck what I say…love me or hate me that’s where I’m at. That’s my whole mind state. And believe you, me, music is an expression of yourself.

I’m damn sure about to express myself on this album so any of the things that I’ve been through that you might be judging me on or feeling like oh, he should do this or he shouldn’t do that, I’ma let you know how I feel. But at the same time I’m definitely going to give you some of that shit that the streets going to love, the shit’s going to stay in the club and [I’m also gonna give you] that get money music cause that’s what I do best. I’m going in.On

On Shawty Redd:

Like Shawty Redd, that shit is serious, dog. This nigga might never get outta jail. And if he do get out he still gotta be able to live with himself cause it ain’t like he killed his enemy. He killed the nigga he was with everyday for the last… since I’ve been seeing them niggas together. And we all know him.
