Jennifer Hudson Gets Her Praise On

      Jennifer Hudson is having a monster year already and she’s only had one gig. Her performance as Effie in the film Dreamgirls has garnered her endless critical acclaim, a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress, and an Oscar nomination for Supporting Actress. So how does Hudson celebrate? She goes to church!

      On Monday night, Hudson’s Chicago church organized "An Evening of Praise with Jennifer Hudson" starring your girl, backed by the Soul Children of Chicago.

      "I don’t do clubs. I don’t drink. I don’t smoke," she told the crowd of about 3,000 at Progressive Baptist Church. "I’m not having no club party; I better have a praise party."

      On Sunday, Hudson will be at the Academy Awards to see if she wins that Oscar.
