Juelz Confirms Jimmy Iovine/Dre Deal

You really cant count the Diplomats out after all these years it seems like they might still be doing it big. After months of speculation, Santana has confirmed the rumors that the Diplomats are locked in to a deal with Interscope Records.

According to Santana, fans can anticipate new things in 2011 under the Interscope label name.

“It’s back to live action, it’s back to doing what we do best,” Santana explained in an interview. “We got the deal with Interscope. Shout-out to [Interscope Records CEO] Jimmy Iovine. I’m sure people seen the pictures up of us and [Dr.] Dre, so, you know, we’ve done records with Dre. That was a beautiful experience. Dre had Jim [Jones] in the booth for like an hour and a half…” (Ozone Mag)

New Music: The Doppelgangaz – “Jail Weight” feat. Jim Jones

The Doppelgangaz meet The Diplomats. Now repeat that ten times over. Anyway, the New York duo of The Doppelgangaz (Matter Ov Fact and EP) are linking up with Mr. Capo himself, Jim Jones, for "Jail Weight." The track is set to appear on The Gangaz forthcoming project titled Parts Unknown. In case you haven't heard, 2015 kicked off with the return of Harlem's beloved Dipset. The group dropped a stellar cut in "Have My Money" and followed that up with their "Victory" freestyle, which is equally dope. Their return has sparked some nostalgia and that's all gravy because we here at iHipHop often find ourselves reminiscing about simpler times. Chief Keef, who was probably no more than eight years old when Dipset dropped their iconic Diplomatic Immunity record, is nevertheless paying tribute to the supergroup. Keef has dropped a track entitled "Dipset." The tribute to Cam and company is set to appear on Keef's upcoming DJ Holiday-hosted Dedication mixtape. Check it out after the jump!

In case you haven't heard, The Diplomats are back. The return of OG Dipset members Jim Jones, Freekey Zeeky, and Juelz Santana together so far has been promising with the Harlem squadron dropping the awesome "Have My Money" loosie and now a gloomy, aggressive, and downright murderous freestyle over The Notorious B.I.G.'s "Victory."
