Four-time Grammy winner Justin Timberlake has taken the well-trodden territory by launching his own label. The new label, dubbed Tennman Records, is a joint venture with the mother of all majors Interscope Records.
Timberlake, who helped T.I. bag a Grammy for “My Love,” declared his excitement for the new imprint. “I cannot wait to introduce the world to my new discoveries,” said JT.
Give credit to Interscope boss Jimmy Iovine for ensuring his pop music dominance by locking Timberlake down with a lucrative deal.
“Whenever you have the opportunity to get into business with someone as gifted as Justin Timberlake, you take it,” said Jimmy Iovine, head honcho Interscope/Geffen/A&M. “We are thrilled to have his label as part of Interscope.”
