XXXtentacion’s untimely passing ripped a hole in the hearts of his loyal fanbase: from the ones who relied on his intrepidly vulnerable rhetoric to cope with depression, to the ones who appreciated his eclectic artistry, X’s departure was a ubiquitous punch to the gut. Joining these mourning patrons are not only X’s loved ones, but also his contemporaries who deeply respected the late musician.
Today, one of those peers has leveraged his musical talent to deliver a touching tribute to his departed partner: Atlanta’s Key! has come through with his new track, “When X Died”–a description of the anguish he experienced at the hands of this tragedy.
