Superfly releases next Friday.

The ‘70s blaxploitation film, Superfly, is just over one-week away from its worldwide release, and has been garnering serious anticipation. Both because of the names attached to the movie and the fact that it’s a remake of a popular film, Superfly is poised to return impressive box office numbers. But one other factor is contributing to the hype surrounding the film: Future is executive producing the soundtrack, and is featured on its majority. Recently, the team released another single, this time without Future, but with crooning sensations, Khalid and H.E.R., “The Way”.

Joining releases like “No Shame”, “The Way” is a sound addition to this diverse soundtrack, with the two R&B stars complementing each other’s aesthetics. Khalid and H.E.R. elicit soulful ballads that cascade over the jazzy production–provided by Hiko Momoji and Cameron Hale–to provide a softer texture to the Superfly soundtrack.

With other features including Young Thug, 21 Savage, PARTYNEXTDOOR, amongst others, the Superfly soundtrack is poised for a successful summer.
