Kid Cudi was detained by police yesterday December 21st in L.A. The rapper was pulled over at gunpoint by police on Fairfax avenue.
Cudi and his entourage were ordered to step out of the car and were all handcuffed, until police realized it was a case of mistaken identity.
Cudi and the others were then released as the officer explined that a burglary had taken place in the area and that it was simply a misunderstanding and they were free to go.
Cudi later explained that he had no idea what was going on, saying:
“Who knows, really, the story changed a bunch. I’m just happy to be back. I’m a free man! For that moment I was not free. I was in handcuffs. It did not feel very comfortable.”
“We’re in LA, it’s a rowdy place in the United States, you know? And a lot of sh*t goes down. And these cops have to use force. So it’s, like, I understand that they were doing their job. I just wish we weren’t in that place at that time.”
